Vicki Scotto, a native of Long Island, NY, began playing violin at the age of 9. In high school she was accepted into the Mannes College Preparatory Division and the New York Youth Symphony chamber music program, where she made her Carnegie Hall debut at Weill Recital Hall. She went on to receive a duel Bachelors in Violin Performance and English at the University at Buffalo in Western New York. In 2007, Vicki won the music department's annual concerto competition and performed Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for violin and viola with the university orchestra. Throughout college, Vicki developed her passion for both chamber and rock music and performed regularly with her string quartet and various bands throughout Western New York, including a performance with Kanye West on his stop in Buffalo during his 2005 tour. In late 2008, Vicki moved to Los Angeles. Since then, she has been performing throughout the LA area with numerous ensembles in all styles of music, mostly emphasizing in classical and rock. She has 15 years of teaching experience and has been both teaching privately and leading the string sections at several of LA's private elementary schools. In addition to violin, Vicki also teaches piano, viola and cello.
